If you have entered an incorrect password too many times and cannot access Brightflag, please ensure you follow the password reset steps within this help article: Unlocking My Account.
None of the passwords reset steps worked - what next?
If you have followed all of the password reset steps and none worked to regain access to your account, please contact the dedicated Admin in our company to unlock your account. Your Admin should follow the steps below to unlock your account on Brightflag:
How Client Admin Users Can Unlock a Locked Client User's Account
If you have been assigned Client Admin access for Brightflag, you can alter and change user permissions for other Brightflag users at your company.
Should one of your colleagues get locked out of their account, please follow the below steps to reset their account:
- Go to Menu > Admin Settings > User Management
- You can find a user on the User Management page using the search function highlighted below.
- Under the Enabled column, un-select the blue tick box for that user - the changes automatically save once the box is altered.
- Refresh the page
- Find the same user, and re-enable the blue tick box
This completes the unlocking procedure for blocked accounts. This process resets the user's login credentials, and you should advise them to follow the Reset Password link on the home page to create a new password. Any previous passwords they had are now void.
For detailed steps to reset your password, please see this help article: Resetting My Password.
How Client Admin Users Can Unlock a Vendor User's Account
If a vendor user at one of your law firms becomes locked out of their account due to too many failed password attempts, client admins have the relevant access to reset a vendor's locked account, including a Vendor Admin account.
Please follow these steps to unlock a blocked vendor account:
- Go to Menu > Vendors > Vendor Management
- Search for the Law Firm where the vendor user belongs to
- Select the Users button next to that law firm
- The next page brings you to the list of users associated with that law firm.
- Search for the name of the vendor user in the search bar
- Under the Disabled column, select the empty tick box to ensure it's populated with a blue tick.
- Click the Update button to ensure your changes are saved.
- Then un-check the Disabled button and click update again.
This completes the unlocking procedure for blocked vendor user accounts. This process resets the user's login credentials, and you should advise them to follow the Reset Password link on the home page to create a new password. Any previous passwords they had are now void.
For detailed steps to reset your password, please see this help article: Resetting My Password.
Important to note: A vendor admin has the relevant access and permissions to reset locked accounts for Standard and Office Admin roles at their law firm, so if you have enabled the Vendor Admin privileges for your vendor(s), you can push this take back on the dedicated Vendor Admin.
A Vendor Admin should follow these steps here: Unlocking Blocked Vendor Users.
