A Matter Template may be used to group Matter fields together if several fields are only relevant to particular Matters.

šŸ”¹ Key Benefits of Matter Templates:

  • Reduce clutter by only displaying relevant fields.

  • Organize custom fields based on specific Matter types.

  • Improve data accuracy and user experience.

āš ļø Important:
Only users with the Client Admin role (your company's Brightflag system admin) can create Matter Templates.


Who Chooses the Template on a Matter?

Both you and your vendors can select a Matter Template when creating or requesting a Matter.

  • Once a template is applied, internal users can enter values for these fields on the Matter details tab of the Matter overview page.


Creating a Matter Template

To create a Matter Template, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Matter Templates:

    • Go to Menu > Admin Settings > Matter Settings.

  2. Find the Matter Templates Section:

    • Scroll down until you see the Matter Templates section.

  3. Create a New Template:

    • Click "Create Matter Template."

    • Enter a Name for the template.

    • Click "Create."


Adding Matter Fields to a Template

Once a Matter Template is created, you can add custom fields by following these steps:

  1. Locate the relevant template and click the ⬇ (down arrow) beside it.

  2. Click "Add Field to [Template Name]" to add multiple fields.

  3. Enter the field name and select a data type.

šŸ’” Tip: Carefully choose the data type for each field to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
