How to Unlock a Vendor User's Account (Admin Role)

If a vendor user gets locked out of their account due to too many failed login attempts, Brightflag client admins have the necessary access to unlock their account.

✔️ Admins can unlock all vendor accounts, including Vendor Admin accounts.
✔️ Vendor Admin users can unlock Standard and Office Admin users but NOT other Vendor Admins.


Steps to Unlock a Vendor User's Account

Follow these steps to unlock a locked or blocked vendor account:

1️⃣ Navigate to Vendor Management

  1. Go to: Menu > Vendors > Vendor Management.

  2. Search for the vendor’s law firm in the search bar.

  3. Click the "Users" button next to the law firm.

    • This will display a list of vendor users associated with that firm.

2️⃣ Unlock the Vendor User's Account

  1. Search for the vendor user’s name in the search bar.

  2. Find the "Disabled" column next to their name.

  3. Check the box under "Disabled" (it should turn into a blue tick).

  4. Click "Update" to save your changes.

  5. Uncheck the "Disabled" box and click "Update" again.

✅ The vendor’s account is now unlocked!


Final Steps: Resetting the Vendor’s Password

🔹 Unlocking the account resets the vendor’s login credentials.
🔹 Advise the vendor to use the "Reset Password" link on the login page to create a new password.

⚠️ Important: Previous passwords are no longer valid after unlocking.
