Reviewing Budget Requests – Manually or in Bulk

Budget requests can be approved or rejected either individually or in bulk.

💡 Note: If you'd like to enable Matter Budgets in your environment, please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).


📍 Accessing the Matter Budgets Page

To review budget requests:

  1. Go to the Menu (☰)
  2. Click Matters
  3. Select Matter Budgets


✅ Manually Reviewing Budget Requests

To review a single budget request:

  1. Locate the matter from the Matter Budgets page using filters or search.
  2. Click the arrow under the Budget Info column to expand the request details.
  3. Review the proposed budget information submitted by the vendor.
  4. Click Approve or Reject:
    • If rejecting, enter a comment to explain the reason (this will be visible to the vendor).

🔔 Vendors will be notified by email if a request is rejected, along with your comment.


📦 Bulk Reviewing Budget Requests

To approve or reject multiple requests at once:

  1. Use the checkboxes to select multiple requests from the Matter Budgets page.
  2. Click Bulk Approve or Bulk Reject.
  3. If rejecting, enter a single comment that applies to all selected items.

📝 Each vendor will receive a rejection email for their respective request(s).


👥 Who Can Review Budget Requests?

User TypePermissions
Admin UsersCan view and approve all budget requests.
Department Overview UsersCan view and approve budget requests for matters in their assigned departments.
Ordinary UsersCan view and approve budget requests for matters they have access to.
Internal Matter LeadsCan approve requests for matters they lead.
Matter ParticipantsCan approve requests for matters where they are listed as a participant.
