Deleting a Matter is not recommended and cannot be done directly in Brightflag.
You must contact Brightflag Support to request deletion.
When Is Deletion Appropriate?
Only in rare cases, such as:
A duplicate Matter was created.
The Matter was created in error and has no financial data.
Recommended Alternative: Close the Matter
If a Matter is no longer active, it’s best to close it instead.
Closing:
Preserves historical data
Maintains reporting accuracy
Prevents new invoices from being submitted
