The Firm Matter Reference (Firm Matter Ref) field is primarily used by vendors to input and track their internal reference numbers for matters in Brightflag.
🔹 How to Enable the Firm Matter Ref Field
If the field is not active for vendors, follow these steps:
1️⃣ Go to Menu > Admin Settings > Matter Settings.
2️⃣ Tick the boxes to configure the field for firms as you wish.
3️⃣ Once enabled, each vendor will only see and update their own version of the field (if multiple vendors are assigned to a matter).
🔹 Can We Disable Firm Matter Reference for Clients?
✅ Yes, if you want this field to be managed only by vendors, you can disable it for clients by selecting only the "Visible on Law Firm Portal" and "Editable on Law Firm Portal" options in the fields highlighted above.
