This guide will show you how to easily generate a report in Brightflag.
🛠️ How to Run the Report
Follow these steps to create a report showing the time between invoice upload, approval, and payment:
1. Go to the Report Builder

Navigate to Menu > Reports > Report Builder
- Click Create Report
2. Choose the 'Invoices' Template

Select Invoices as the report type to get started.
3. Apply the Relevant Filters
Add the following fields to your report to analyze invoice processing time along with any other fields that you require:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Invoice Received Date | The date the invoice was uploaded to Brightflag. |
Approved Date | The date the invoice was approved at the final stage. |
Paid Date | The date when the AP system returned a paid status. (Requires integration with Brightflag) |
📌 Note:
If your AP system is not integrated with Brightflag, the Paid Date field may not populate automatically.
4. Calculate the Time Difference
Once you have exported the report:

Use Excel to calculate the time between the invoice upload date and the approved/ paid date.
