Configuring Custom Names for Matter Categories (Admin Role)

Every Matter in Brightflag must have a Matter Category assigned. While Brightflag provides default Matter Category names, these can be customized to better align with your organization's needs.


Adding & Editing Matter Categories

⚠️ Who Can Edit Matter Categories?
Only Client Admins can add or edit Matter Categories. If you need changes, please contact your Brightflag Client Admin.

Steps to Add or Edit a Matter Category

  1. Access Matter Category Settings

    • Navigate to Menu > Admin Settings > Custom Matter Categories.
  2. Add a New Matter Category

    • Click "Add Matter Category."
  3. Enter Category Details

    • Type the customized Matter Category Name.
    • Select a Brightflag Matter Category from the dropdown to map it correctly.
  4. Enable the Category

    • Check the "Enabled" field to activate the category.

🛠 Once the changes are complete, the new category names will replace the old names throughout Brightflag.
