Assigning Custom Names to Vendors in Brightflag

Brightflag allows Client Admins to assign a Custom Vendor Name to law firms for better vendor management and internal record-keeping.

✔️ Vendor law firms cannot change their Custom Vendor Name

✔️ Changes are visible to both Clients and Vendor users in Brightflag.


🔹 How to Change a Vendor’s Custom Name

👤 Admins Only

1️⃣ Navigate to Vendor Management

📍 Go to: Menu > Vendors > Vendor Management

2️⃣ Locate the Vendor

🔍 Search for the vendor you want to update.

3️⃣ Edit the Custom Vendor Name

🔹 Under the "Custom Vendor Name" column, click on the existing name to edit it.
🔹 An edit box will appear—enter the new name.

4️⃣ Save the Changes

✅ Click the green checkmark to save the updated Custom Vendor Name.


🔹 Do Vendors Get Notified About the Change?

No, vendors do not receive an automatic notification when their Custom Vendor Name is changed.
✔️ They will see the updated name when they log into Brightflag.

📌 To prevent confusion, it's recommended to inform vendors if the change is significant.
