The Gmail Sidebar integration for Brightflag Workspace enables the user to bring their emails and files into the workroom, directly from Gmail. You can choose to add these files to the “Files” tab in the workroom or as a task to your enterprise’s intake workroom.
Installing the application:

1. Click the install button, and confirm/allow the permission request to proceed with the installation.
2. You will be prompted to confirm which Gmail account are you connecting this application to.
3. Next, you will be prompted to grant the necessary access to your account which you can confirm by clicking "Allow":

How to log in to the application:
To use the Application, open up an email in your inbox, and click the the "Brightflag Workspace" icon in the sidebar menu:

A new side window will open up, click "SIGN IN WITH BRIGHTFLAG WORKSPACE" to initiate the login process. In the popup, you will be able to login using SSO by choosing the “Sign in with your corporate ID” option. If you are unsure which option to choose, please confirm with your IT team first.

Once you successfully log in, you will see the below confirmation and you may safely close the tab:
Using the application:
You will now have two options you can use the tool for:
Create Legal Service Request
You can use this option to send your email and files into a workroom as a task. This allows for a simple workflow for getting legal work to your team.
Before you are able to access this feature, you will need to create an intake workroom. You can do so by finding this Brightflag Solution and using it to create your workroom.
After the workroom has been created, click the “Connect to Slack” button to finish the connection to your Slack workspace.
- The checkboxes at the top determine which files will be sent into the workroom, with the email itself being the top selection. These will be checked by default.
- Once you have filled in the details for your request, click the submit request button.
After the submission is successful, you will see the OPEN IN BRIGHTFLAG WORKSPACE button. Clicking this takes you to your enterprise’s intake workroom.
The intake workroom receives a task with the details of the form and its files and email attached.
Add to Files
You can use this option to get your email and files into a workroom’s file storage. This arrives in the “Files” tab in the selected workroom.
- The checkboxes at the top determine which files will be sent into the workroom, with the email itself being the top selection. These will be checked by default.
- Use the field to search for the desired workroom and select it.
- Once you have filled in the details for your request, click the SUBMIT button.
Upon successful upload, you can click the OPEN IN BRIGHTFLAG WORKSPACE button to go to the selected workroom.
You will arrive at the “To Be Filed” folder in the workroom’s “Files” tab. Here you can immediately preview your documents.
