How Time Values Are Displayed in Brightflag

By default, the Brightflag Invoice Review Screen displays time values (labeled as "Units") in HH:MM format (e.g., 01:15 for 1 hour 15 minutes). However, you can choose to display time as a decimal value (e.g., 1.25 hours) instead.

How to Change the Time Display Format

To adjust the time format from HH:MM to decimal hours, please contact your Customer Success Manager or Brightflag Support for assistance.

Time Format in Brightflag

  • Time values default to HH:MM format in the Invoice Review Screen.
  • Seconds are not included.

📌 Examples:

  • 0.5 hours on an invoice PDF will appear as 00:30 (30 minutes) in Brightflag.
  • 1.25 hours on an invoice PDF will display as 01:15 (1 hour 15 minutes).

✅ To ensure consistency and avoid rounding discrepancies, law firms should submit time entries in increments of 5 or 6 minutes.
