⚠️ You Cannot Reopen a Missed Deadline
Changing the accrual deadline does not reopen a closed accrual period.
If vendors have already missed the deadline:
You cannot extend the submission window by changing the date.
The closed period remains closed.
Vendors will still be unable to submit for that month.
Editing a deadline only affects future deadlines — not past ones.
If a vendor has missed the deadline, see:
Vendor Missed the Accrual Deadline: What Happens Next?
Who Can Edit Accrual Deadlines?
Only Admin Users can update accrual deadlines.
How to Change an Accrual Deadline
Go to Menu → Admin Settings → Accruals
Locate the monthly deadline fields (January–December)
Select a new date using the calendar picker - each month can have its own deadline date
Save your changes
How the Time Zone Works
You can select the time zone that controls when accruals close.
Important:
The deadline closes based on the selected time zone.
This applies to vendors as well.
It does not adjust to each vendor’s local time.
Example:
If set to U.S. Eastern Time, accruals close at midnight Eastern Time for all users.
Best Practices
Avoid Weekend Deadlines
If a deadline falls on a weekend, the system will still close the window that day.
To reduce missed submissions, set deadlines on weekdays where possible.
Avoid Changing Deadlines Mid-Period
Changing deadlines after vendors have been notified may:
Cause confusion
Disrupt reminder timing
Impact reporting expectations
Only change deadlines when necessary and for future periods.
