A matter can be created by either you or your vendor, depending on your organization's configuration. Before creating a new matter, check if it already exists to avoid duplicates. Refer to the Finding a Matter Guide for more details.
Steps to Create a Matter
1️⃣ Navigate to the Matter Management Section
📍 Go to ➝ Menu > Matter Management > Search/Add Matters
2️⃣ Click the "Add Matter" Button
➡️ On the right side of your screen, click Add Matter.
3️⃣ Fill in Matter Details
📝 Enter values for all matter fields:
- Required fields are highlighted in pink.
- Non-required fields can be left blank and updated later.
- If a value you need is missing in a dropdown, contact your Brightflag administrator.
4️⃣ Assign a Vendor
🔹 Assigning a vendor grants vendor admin users access to the matter.
5️⃣ Assign Specific Vendor Users (Optional)
🔹 To grant vendor ordinary users access, assign them using the Assignee 1 dropdown.
6️⃣ Finalize Matter Creation
✅ Once all fields are populated, click Create New Matter.
✅ A notification will be sent to all vendor assignees selected in Step 5.
Managing Matter Details
- Modify matter details anytime via the Matter Overview Page.
- Vendors may have access to update details, depending on your organization's configuration.
