How to Reject an Invoice in Brightflag

Before rejecting an invoice, make sure you have reviewed it carefully.

An invoice must be in Pending status in order to be rejected.


Step 1: Click Reject

On the Invoice Review screen, click Reject in the top-right corner.


Step 2: Add Rejection Notes

You will be prompted to enter comments.

📌 Rejection Comment: This note is added internally and can also be seen by the law firm.

📌 Vendor Note: This note is only sent to the invoice uploader via email and does not appear as an internal note.


Step 3: Notify the Vendor (Optional)

If you want the vendor to receive an email notification:

  • Ensure the Notify Vendor field contains their email address

  • This is typically pre-filled with the invoice uploader’s email


Step 4: Confirm Rejection

Click:

  • Reject
    or

  • Reject and Next Invoice to move directly to the next pending invoice in your queue
