Rejecting an Invoice in Brightflag

You can only approve or reject an invoice when it is in a Pending state. If an invoice does not meet the required criteria, follow the steps below to reject it:


1️⃣ Locate the Invoice

📌 Via Invoice Management:

  • Navigate to Menu > Invoices and locate the invoice.

  • Click on the Invoice Number to open the Invoice Analysis page.

📌 Via Dashboard:

  • Navigate to Menu > Dashboard.

  • Under the Invoices to Review tab, find the invoice awaiting your review.

  • Click on the Invoice Number to open the Invoice Analysis page.


2️⃣ Reject the Invoice

  • In the top right corner of the screen, click Reject.


3️⃣ Add Notes (Recommended)

  • 📌 Rejection Comment: This note is added internally and can also be seen by the law firm.

  • 📌 Vendor Note: This note is only sent to the invoice uploader via email and does not appear as an internal note.


4️⃣ Notify the Vendor (Recommended)

  • If you want to notify the vendor of the rejection, ensure the Notify Vendor box is populated with their email address.

  • This field may already be pre-filled with the invoice uploader's email.


5️⃣ Confirm Rejection

  • Click Reject or Reject and Next Invoice.

  • If you select Reject and Next Invoice, you will be directed to the next pending invoice for review.
