Why Aren't the PDF Line Item Details Showing in Brightflag?

If the line item details from a PDF invoice are not showing in Brightflag, there are two possible reasons:

1️⃣ The invoice was submitted as a LEDES+PDF upload.
2️⃣ The invoice is a PDF, but its format prevents Brightflag from extracting the details.


🔹 Reason 1: The Invoice Was Submitted as a LEDES+PDF

When an invoice is uploaded as LEDES+PDF, Brightflag only extracts data from the LEDES file, not from the attached PDF.

✅ The fee and expense breakdown in Brightflag comes directly from the LEDES file uploaded by the vendor.

🔹 Reason 2: The Invoice Is a PDF with Formatting Issues

If the invoice is a PDF (not LEDES) and is flagged with:

🚨 "Invoice Narrative Lines & Fee Details Not Formatted Correctly,"

it means Brightflag could not accurately extract some or all invoice details due to formatting issues.
