Setting Allocations on an Invoice

Allocations allow you to split an invoice’s charges among different entities, departments, or accounting codes. You can divide an invoice’s charges across multiple accounting codes as needed.

Allocations can be configured in the Admin Settings based on your organization’s requirements.


How to Set Allocations on an Invoice

1️⃣ Find the Invoice

  • Navigate to the Invoices page and locate the relevant invoice.

2️⃣ Open the Allocations Tab

  • When the invoice opens, it will default to the Fee Lines view.
  • Click the Allocations tab next to this.

3️⃣ Click "Set Allocations"

  • This will allow you to apply allocation settings.

4️⃣ Apply Allocations

  • Populate the allocation fields using the available dropdowns.
  • If needed, add additional allocation lines and adjust the percentage split.
  • The invoice must be 100% allocated before it can be approved.

5️⃣ Save the Allocations

  • Click "Set Allocations" to save your changes.

📌 Important: If the invoice is not fully allocated (100%), it cannot be approved.
